So, we sat down and had a brief interview with Roland Gavino, Shoppable’s Product Content Specialist. We heard about his interests, aspirations, hobbies, and what he likes about working at Shoppable. With this, we’re excited to share one of the team’s quirky and insightful members, Ronald! Let’s take it away!
Q: Tell us about yourself and your role at Shoppable.
A: Hello! I’m Roland, the Product Content Specialist at Shoppable Business. My role involves creating new product listings and managing and optimizing content (titles, product descriptions, bullet points, keywords, and photos).
Q: Other than your professional tasks, what creative habits do you have outside of work?
A: I play basketball, online games, and musical instruments and go on road trips.
Q: How would you describe a regular day at Shoppable?
A: A regular day at Shoppable involves various tasks and responsibilities, like flexibility and time management.
Q: What was your childhood dream? Do you still share the same dream as you did when you were young? Tell us about it.
A: I want to own and drive luxury cars like Lamborgini, Bugatti, and Ferrari. Yes, until now, this is my dream because when I was young, my uncle liked to take me with him when he drove his boss’ luxury car, and my uncle always told me that he wanted us to have our own luxury car.
Q: If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go? Tell us why you’d like to go there.
A: Chase Center Stadium, to watch NBA games (Golden States Warriors) live in the arena.
Q: Among the movies you’ve seen so far, which one would you recommend to a friend?
A: I would recommend ”The Pope’s Exorcist,” which is based on a true story.
Q: Is there any dish, snack, or beverage you’d like to recommend to someone who wants to eat something comforting? Describe this dish.
A: “Penoy Kwek-Kwek” – it’s a duck egg coated with an orange batter and deep-fried until the batter is crispy.
Q: How does your work now align with your goals for the future?
A: My work now is unrelated to what I want to achieve. However, I’m grateful to be part of the eCommerce Industry. Every day I learn a lot which I know is helping my future and helps me connect to my goal in the long run.
Q: Give us a few words of wisdom. It can be a quote you live by, a word, or a saying you made yourself.
A: “Know that all things work together for good.”
Q: Tell us about at least one thing that inspires you on a daily basis.
A: My inspiration is my family and the people I love. They are the reason why I work hard every day.
Sometimes as team members, we can only know bits of information about the people we work with. However, when we get the chance to immerse ourselves in the ideas and creativity of others, we get the chance to grow even more as individuals. Today, we heard about aspirations and hobbies of Roland. Within the hours of nine to five, he’s Shoppable’s Product Content Specialist. Beyond this timeline, he’s a free-spirited man who loves playing hoops, musical instruments, and mobile games. He’s a traveler pursuing his dreams, and working at Shoppable is one step he’s taking toward the exciting things that await him.
