Shoppable Team Feature: Say Hi to Divina!

It’s amazing to meet people whom you share interests and brilliant ideas with in your work environment. In a startup, we’re exposed to more diverse groups of people. Each with compelling characteristics that make them special and help hone the future of the business. Today, we’re happy to introduce one of the Shoppable Sales Account Specialists, Divina Asis. She’s a ball of sunshine at the office, but there are more incredible things about her than what meets the eye. Let’s hear about her thoughts, dreams, and goals!

Q: Tell us about yourself and what you do.

A: Hello, everybody! I’m Divina, Account Specialist at Shoppable Business. You can call me Dii for short! I work under the Business Development/ Sales Department in which my role revolves around Seller Acquisition, where I actively seek out and bring onboard new sellers and merchants on our platform and foster good relationships with them; committed to creating a vibrant B2B Marketplace that benefits both our customers and sellers alike.

Q: What habits do you have that keep you inspired?

A: Honestly, I have a lot, both good and bad habits lol jk HAHAHA, but I will share just two of them that keep me inspired every day! 😀

First, wake up early! I don’t know tho, but I am a morning person. For me, how you start your day sets the tone for everything that follows. It allows me to take advantage of the most productive hours of the day. It excites me that I’m starting my day before everyone else, and I have more time to work on my goals, be present with my family, and enjoy my hobbies. Waking up early every day inspires me in a way that it’s like a reminder that I have to force myself to get up early, take care of my responsibilities, and evaluate my priorities because nobody is doing it for me. It’s giving me a vibe like, “These are my goals and dreams!” Everything I want starts and ends with me!

Secondly, self-care and always moving around! Once you wake up, get out of bed and move around. For me, self-care, self-love, and self-peace are so important. Whatever my mood is, it’s a habit for me to move around. It gives me peace and time for myself to regulate my emotions. Whether I go for a quick exercise, by just simply walking around somewhere to check something, or by just simply walking and getting a cup of coffee. Also, having a body that is well cared for makes me feel better about myself and my life, and for me, it shows how much I value myself and my well-being hehe.

Q: Working with a team means getting to know a diverse amount of people. How do you feel about this?

A: It’s fun! As a sanguine, it always excites me to socialize and be with a diverse amount of people. Working with a team for me is an invaluable opportunity that can give numerous benefits and enrich the work environment. I got to be with different people with different personalities, cultures, and perspectives. I got to learn from them, and I enjoyed every single time I spent with each one of them because, for me, working with a diverse team should be seen as an opportunity for growth, learning, and building stronger relationships. Just embracing diversity and leveraging the unique strengths of each team member.

Q: What is one skill you’d like to have and improve through the years? It could be anything under the sun and beyond, like surfing, using Photoshop, or something entirely different.

A:  Flying an Airbus! It’s the dream and always will be! I always wanted to become a Pilot hehe who knows? HAHAHA, Life is good, hang in there, not now, but I hope soon!! 😀

Q: If you wrote a book about your career so far, what would be its title? Tell us why you chose this title.

A:  Hmm, I must say, “The Art of Selling: Mastering the Science and Psychology of Success.” I came up with this title because my favorite subjects back then were science and psychology HAHAHA and as someone who’s working in Sales right now, it highlights the multidimensional nature of a sales career, combining both the art and science of selling. It also reflects the importance of understanding human psychology, building relationships, and leveraging strategic techniques to achieve success in sales.

Q: Which fictional character do you identify with most? Why?

A: Oh, this one is hard; not pretty much a fan of fictional stuff, HAHAHA, but I must say,

Luisa Madrigal from Disney’s Animated Film Encanto. Because, just like Luisa, who’s described as the “rock of the family,” just like her, I always tell everybody that they can always depend on me. I want them to see that I will always be here for them, no matter what happens. I never desire anyone to see my weaknesses or the pressures I am experiencing. I want everyone to look at me with an assurance that everything will always be in control, even though the road seems too rough. Just like Luisa, I want you to give all the heavy burdens to me and let me carry them for you. She’s Luisa. She’s me! Char! HAHAHA 😀

Q: Tell us about your childhood dream.

A: As I mentioned earlier, becoming a Pilot is my dream. I don’t know tho, but I am a huge fan of planes, aside from cars, hehe. One of my hobbies is car spotting or plane spotting. As a child, I always got my dad’s telescope and would quickly run outside whenever I heard a plane coming. Growing up, it never changed. I was about to enroll in an aviation school actually during my college, but then as I said, sometimes things will not go according to plan. Until now, I still love airplanes and aviation, and I still do,  and it will always have a space in me! <3

Q: What qualities do you look for in a leader?

A: COMPETENCY. GENUINE. INTEGRITY.

Q: What are the top three things you like most about your role and work environment at Shoppable?

A: First is, growing my network. Second is problem-solving, and third is impact and results.

My work requires me to often interact with various people, including potential customers, clients, and business partners. I got to grow my network and build relationships with them. Connecting with others and learning from them is fulfilling and rewarding. I enjoy the opportunity to engage with different individuals, understand their needs, and establish mutually beneficial partnerships with them.

Shoppable gave me an opportunity for growth and development. I love that it supports continuous learning that encourages its employees to expand their knowledge and skills, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Q: Name three things or instances that make you feel fulfilled.

A:

1.     Seeing my parents enjoying the life they deserve

2.     Finished my school with pride and honor

3.     Got to help and inspire others even in the simplest way I can! 😊
