Kindly introduce yourself.
I am Sean Monzon, President and CEO of Danolyte® Organix Inc.
Danolyte is a trusted brand in the Filipino health and sanitation industry. With scientifically proven effectiveness, we’d like to know about who you are and what you are. Today we’d like to know about the company that brings sustainability, health protection, and sanitation together – Danolyte, how did you start? Tell us about your humble beginnings.
Beginning in 2020, just before the pandemic called for massive lockdowns worldwide, we had planned to import the generators and fittings to manufacture Danolyte® disinfectant in the Philippines. Danolyte global has been in the business for over 20 years, presenting the medical industry with a non-toxic disinfectant for deep cleaning with ease. We are a self-funded organization that aims to produce the safest and most efficient sanitation solution. Our partners engage in mindset-changing education to the small network we came with, growing tri-fold year after year. Danolyte’s product lines had since tripled in variety when we started with our sole hospital-grade disinfectant. Our corporate clientele now enjoys our signature “green” program, whilst direct customers can choose from our Professional, Home, and Pet lines.
Ensuring sanitation and health protection isn’t easy for just anyone; it’s compelling to know that Danolyte is one of the most proficient brands in innovating disinfection and sanitation, serving a global market. Which brings us to be curious, what made you choose this industry?
Conventional disinfectants contain many other chemicals which are carcinogenic in nature. Extended use will cause more harm to us and our loved ones as well as our planet. Many of these chemicals stay in the air and pollute our oceans. We started Danolyte® Philippines to give this non-toxic alternative to future generations to come.
We have a general knowledge of your environmental advocacies across your different product offerings, and we commend your initiative in creating products that help contribute to environmental sustainability. Can you tell us more about your advocacy in helping contribute to better the environment?
Danolyte® disinfectant is manufactured with pure salt and water. There are no additives to stabilize the solution. The active substance is hypochlorous acid or HOCL, an enzyme found in nature and within our bloodstream. We eliminate single-use plastic waste since our bottles and applicators are chemical grade. We are the first in the industry to offer our “green” refill program, which presents cost savings to our corporate clients.
Health precautions increased aggressively during recent years; tell us about the role you played in combating airborne diseases like the recent pandemic, which caused a lot of changes in the way people live their lives.
In recent years, we have partnered with janitorial companies to spread the use of Danolyte® for their cleaning and fogging services. Our BPO partners use Danolyte® disinfectant to clean the air with in-house fogging and humidifiers. The biggest change we noticed is the replacement of alcohol-based hand sanitizers with our product. Danolyte® headquarters in the USA is consistent at testing our product against new viral diseases. Our efficacy chart is rising and proving to be successful thus far.
We’d love to support Danolyte even more. Are there any projects, initiatives, or new products we ought to look out for this year?
Firstly, a big thank you for your continued partnership and support. This year, we have launched three distinct lines, namely, Professional, Home, and Pet. They are created to suit our customers’ needs better. We are most excited about our B2B platform on Shoppable. Danolyte is looking forward to speaking with you via this platform.
We heard about the different certifications you gained, and we’re delighted to know that one of our sellers has a strong track record in their industry. Can you tell us more about these certifications?
Danolyte® disinfectant is EPA (the United States Environment Protection Agency) certified and included in its “N” list. N-listed disinfectants are expected to eliminate the SarsCov2 virus and its variants. Danolyte® is approved for use on food surfaces as well. We will undergo Halal certification in 2023.
Your brand name is quite unique. Is there a story behind the name “Danolyte?”
In 2015, the complete acquisition and intellectual property concerning the manufacturing and application of anolyte technology from an Italian company, Duedi, Sri, gave birth to Danolyte Global, LLC. The first recorded usage of Danolyte for wound care was during the second world war in Italy.
What kind of future can you envision for Danolyte?
Danolyte® Organix Inc. aims to introduce our water treatment system to the Philippines. We have the technology to treat fresh water as potable water; at the same time, this technology treats wastewater by eliminating microorganisms.
Lastly, as one of Shoppable’s new sellers, can you tell us what the market should look forward to since you are selling in one of the country’s fastest-growing B2B platforms? Do you have any words of advice for any sellers that would like to resell your products?
Do you have any words of advice for any sellers that would like to resell your products?
Since our inception, our efforts have been focused on the quality of our ready-to-use product and studying the usage patterns of our customers. We allowed our products to spread from within our networks organically. Potential re-sellers are certainly welcome to join us; we advocate saving our planet without the use of harsh chemicals.
What advice can you give, Sean, to aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners? What would you have done differently when you were starting?
Entrepreneurs are a different breed of people. Most of us thrive under uncertainty together with pressure. My advice is never to lose sight; set your vision and move towards it without changing. One can never over-communicate with your team. The lesson most important to me is simply to partner with like-minded people. Never partner with financiers without vision.
