Working with a team like Shoppable introduces you to diverse talents. One of them is Junie Cabias, Shoppable’s Customer Service Supervisor! You can learn much about someone when you sit with them for an interview. As a Customer Service Supervisor at Shoppable, Junie has many responsibilities. Among those is helping the company’s customers with questions or concerns about their orders. However, beyond these duties, Junie is also a man of many hats, with profound insights, and we can’t wait to share them with you! Today, we’ll hear about what’s inside Junie’s mind and everything he enjoys about his profession and business acumen.
Q: Tell us about yourself and the work that you do.
A: Hi! I’m Junie, CS Supervisor at Shoppable Business. My main priority is to monitor all incoming inquiries from different channels, update order status, generate reports, and maintain the CS tools regularly.
Q: Outside of work, how do you destress (e.g., eating out with family and friends, binge-watching your favorite movies, etc.)?
A: I spend my time destressing by playing mobile games or PC games with friends, watching funny cats/dogs, going on road trips, and biking.
Q: Tell us about a hobby you’ve always wanted to try (e.g., painting, knitting, cooking, etc.).
A: I wanted to try fishing, spearfishing, and diving.
Q: What is your ultimate career goal? In line with this, how does your work now align with what you want to achieve?
A: My ultimate goal is to become a digital designer. My work now is not related to what I want to achieve. But I’m grateful to be part of the E-commerce Industry, where I am learning a lot, especially how to negotiate with a customer.
Q: Name three things you like about the work that you do.
A: Company culture, flexibility, and collaboration.
Q: If you had three wishes, what would they be, and why?
A: Successful business, Happy Family, and World Peace. No need for an explanation, I think. This is for all of us. 😀
Q: Tell us about a dish you’ve always liked eating. What do you like about it? Is it something you’d recommend to someone else?
A: This is a common dish, “Adobong baboy na pinatuyo with chilli.” This one has no sauce, its dried, which is perfectly partnered with rice. I think everyone would love this dish.
Q: If you were given the chance to travel anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why?
A: Any place as long as there’s real snow.
Q: Among the places you’ve been to so far, which among them would you recommend to a first-time traveler?
A: I recommend first-time travelers to visit the Ilocos Region.
Q: Give us a few words of wisdom about work and perseverance. You can also cite a quote you stand by.
A: Always treat your colleagues like family, and never stop learning. I always remember this quote from high school: “Character is higher than intellect.”
