Q: Tell us about yourself and what you do at Shoppable.
A: Hi, I’m Acel from the Shoppable Content team. As a Product Content Specialist, we’re a backend team that is assigned to make the website look more professional and appealing by uploading an optimized product.
Q: As a Product Content Specialist, what have you learned at Shoppable so far?
A: As part of the content team, I learned to become more inquisitive and logical.
Q: Which part of your role at Shoppable do you find most challenging, and how do you strive to overcome that?
A: Everything is new to me, from full-time student to full-time worker, and I think that’s the most challenging role. I enjoy what I am doing right now, so it’s easy for me to overcome those changes, and I know that this experience will teach me a lot of realization.
Q: If your life is a movie, what movie would that be? Tell us why.
A: Since I can’t think of any other movie to compare based on my life, I think I can compare my attitude with Rancho, one of the main characters of the movie “3 Idiots”. I am so positive in life, like Rancho, that even after all the struggle and doubt, I can still manage to say, “Aal Izz well” or “All is well.” It calms me down every time I say those lines like everything will pass, and everything will be okay.
Q: What habits do you take when you want to unwind?
A: I stay at home and binge-watching Korean dramas.
Q: In no less than two sentences, tell us about your favorite dish or snack. What’s so special about it?
A: I go for snacks, Cornick, that is dipped in vinegar and a touch of chilly. It’s usually my favorite snack while watching Kdrama or movies. I can’t resist the crunchiness of Cornick and the sourness of vinegar that makes every bite special.
Q: What is your ultimate career goal? How are you working towards achieving this goal?
A: To become a successful businesswoman, to have my rental properties.
Q: If you could swap positions with another person at Shoppable for a day, which position would you choose and why?
A: I go for Ms. Sam’s position; she knows the best for the company. She may look chill and happy-go-lucky, but she is one of the reasons why this company is successful. Because of my curiosity about how she does that so well, I wanna know how she overcame and handled those hardships, yet the smile on her face never fades away.
Q: What would you rather be: a big fish in a small pond or a small fish in a big pond? Why?
A: I’d rather be a small fish in a big pond; why? There’s an opportunity for you to grow from a little fish into a big fish when placed in a big pond. Silently you will learn from the big fish, from their goals, advice, mistakes, and experience, which will eventually inspire you to become bigger and better.
Q: Between money, talent, and creativity, what do you consider most valuable? In line with this, how do you see this factor as part of your growth as a professional?
A: For me, it’s creativity. Creativity is one of the most important life skills and can be used to succeed. I can do more when I am being creative; I can turn my creativity into talent and use it to earn money. As of today’s generation, talent and money is useless if you lack creativity; we need to think out of the box and be practical to not be left behind.
